Dementia Carers Support

Dementia Carers Support

The Dementia Carers’ Support Group was set up for carers and their loved one to be able to spend a few hours out for a social get together with people in the same situation as themselves. This is a support group for carers to share their problems and get help from others whilst their loved one is being looked after by volunteers.

The JohnD. Clubs

Held: Mondays: 1.30pm to 3.30pm and Thursdays 10am to 12pm at the Woodham and New Haw Centre, Amis Avenue, New Haw.

Tuesdays: 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Village Centre, Victoria Street, Englefield Green, TW20 0QX

Weekly drop in clubs for carers with activities for people with dementia such as pool, bowls, dominoes, skittles, golf, quoits, shove halfpenny and playing card bingo. These activities are overseen by volunteers whilst the carer enjoys a cup of tea/coffee and a friendly chat with others in the same situation as themselves.

All activities are free of charge.
